Full Time, Heavy Equipment Technician

Heavy Equipment Technician (Surface and Underground Support) Mine Maintenance Solutions (MMS) is looking for an experienced Underground Heavy Equipment Technician to join our growing team. This position is based at a remote mine site on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, with paid travel to and from site. Pay Type: Full-Time, Permanent Compensation: $60.00 per hour In addition to a competitive hourly wage, MMS offers a comprehensive total rewards package including:

In a Typical Day, YOU Will:
  • Demonstrate safe work practices and actively contribute to MMS's strong safety culture.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues on underground mining equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
  • Repair and rebuild major equipment components.
  • Complete inspections and identify required repairs.
  • Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance records.
  • Work efficiently to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Build positive working relationships with mine personnel and fellow team members.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Must-Haves for This Role
  • Underground Common Core Certificate (required – for unground not surface tech’s)
  • Minimum 1–3 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience working with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and powertrain components.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote mining environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
  • Valid Class G Driver's Licence.
